Hi Friends and Followers, welcome to my blog!
I started my vegan journey this past June, after the school year had ended. My best friend of fourteen years had been vegan for three months, and considering the amount of time I spend with her, I figured that I should try transitioning to a vegan lifestyle as well. I decided to educate myself about veganism before I fully made the switch. The are a half dozen documentaries on Netflix about veganism and its effects: Cowspiracy (environmental perspective), Forks over Knives and Vegucated (health perspective), and Earthlings (animal mistreatment perspective). Quite frankly, these documentaries changed my life. I was so moved by each of their messages, which have stayed with me today. These documentaries really underscored my desire to go vegan, as well as why veganism is needed, and the array of positive effects it would have on our health, the wellbeing of animals, and our planet.
